Hello Nicole Naslund,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
If this problem occurs when you're using new Teams, I recommend switching to the Classic Edition for now:
Switch to the new Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support [cb5b-bf62-d44-0ecb] ****
Recently, we have received some feedback from some users that they are experiencing some abnormal situations when using new Teams, but after a series of checks, this problem does not appear in Classic Teams, so I will give you this advice as a priority.
If the same problem occurs at Zoom, you can also check Zoom's support website first to see if there is a viable solution.
If you look at the problem from the Surface's perspective, then the problem may come from a driver failure or a hardware failure.
You can first test whether other applications that can call the camera cause similar problems. If the problem is repeated, then it may be a camera-specific issue, try downloading and reinstalling the driver and firmware package for Surface Studio:
Download Surface Studio Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center ****
Once the download is complete, restart your Surface Stuido and see if the problem reappears.
If it is a driver level exception, this will usually fix the driver fault, but if it is a hardware fault, then you may need to send the Surface Studio for repair.
Please refer to my suggestions for some troubleshooting of this problem first. If there is any important information, you can share it with me in the following reply.
