Microsoft Surface Pro 9 - Performance Issues with WordPress Compared to Acer Predator Helios Neo 16

Hello Dell Community,

I recently upgraded to a Microsoft Surface pro 9, and I've been experiencing significant performance issues while working on WordPress. My previous laptop, an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16, handled the same tasks seamlessly without lag or delays.

Here's a breakdown of the issues I'm facing with the Microsoft Surface pro 9:

Frequent Loading Delays: Pages and posts take a long time to load and save, which severely impacts my workflow.
Lagging Interface: The WordPress dashboard is slow to respond, making it difficult to navigate and perform basic tasks.

High Resource Usage: I've noticed that CPU and RAM usage spikes significantly when running WordPress, even with minimal plugins and themes.
For context, my Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 had similar specs, yet it managed to handle WordPress effortlessly. I've already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

It only happens whenever I try to work on the following two websites:

I also work as a freelance writer for generatorbible, CNET, and projectocentral, but I never faced mentioned issues with these websites.

Ensuring all drivers and firmware are up-to-date.
Checking for any background processes that might be consuming resources.
Running a full system scan for malware or viruses.
Optimizing WordPress by disabling unnecessary plugins and themes.
Despite these efforts, the performance issues persist. Has anyone else experienced problems similar to those with Microsoft Surface pro 9? Are there any specific settings or configurations that I should be aware of to enhance WordPress performance?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have attached the specs of my previous laptop.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Fareed

    Hello Fareed Nawaz,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

WordPress is a free and open source blog software and content management system based on PHP and MySQL. It is understood that compared with the hardware requirements of laptops, whether the network connection is stable and whether the network speed is normal may be one of the reasons for page loading delay and high resource usage.

Let me be clear here, WordPress is not a Microsoft product, so we don't know much about it, and if you're trying to find ways to optimize your use of WordPress, I actually recommend you contact WordPress customer support directly, because they know the product better than we do.

And if you're looking for some Windows or Surface level advice, maybe I can offer you this:

There may be some steps or tricks involved that you have already tried, so if you see a duplicate solution, you can skip and move on to the next one.

Here are some suggestions for the Surface that you may want to try setting the Surface for optimal performance, as well as placing the device in a well-ventilated location to avoid overheating and degrading performance:

    Thanks Mitchell.

The problem was with the hosting.

I manage to solve by talking to the hosting provider.
