We suggest the following solutions:
- Before you begin
- Solution 1: Clean the screen
- Solution 2: Reset touchscreen calibration
- Solution 3: Install the latest updates
- Solution 4: Two button shutdown (Surface Pro only)
- Solution 5: Restore, refresh, or reset Surface
Additionally, you can also try to update or/and uninstall and reinstallthe Touch drivers. Here is how:
- From the Desktop, swipe from the right and select Settings.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Device Manager.
- Select Surface Pro Touch Controller Firmware.
- Select the tab under Driver
- Select Update Driver Software.
- Select “Browse my computer for driver software”.
- Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
- Select Surface Pro Touch Controller Firmware.
- Select Next
- Let the install finish.
- Restart your Surface.
If after the previous steps the issue persists, repeat the steps from 1-6 and clickUninstall, then restart your Surface and allow Windows to reinstall the driver.
Note: Please DO NOT check the box saying Delete the Driver software for this device.
