Hi ALEEZA MEHER,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community and sorry to hear that your Surface laptop Go battery is not detected by the device.
Does the Surface turn off immediately when the power supply is disconnected?
To troubleshoot, kindly try to follow these steps below:
1: Force Shutdown
Press and hold the power button of the device for 20 seconds
This should clear the hardware cache of the device
2: Run system checks and repairs
Check for the Surface drivers' health through the Surface app
Run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit
See this page for reference: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface app and Surface Diagnostic Toolkit - Microsoft Support
3: Uninstall and reinstall battery driver
Make sure that the Surface is plugged in and LED is lit
Open Device Manager
Expand Batteries
See if Surface Battery shows up
If yes, right-click on Surface Battery
Select Uninstall device
Note: If prompted with a checkbox stating "Delete the driver software for this device", leave it uncheck then hit Uninstall.
Restart the Surface to reinstall the driver
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Marrion
