USB ports on DOCK 2 not working

For some reason the question I posted yesterday is not on the forum so here it goes again.

I have a Surface 7 that was replaced twice under warranty already since 2019.

Months ago it start to not work properly with my docks, model dock 2.

The dongle connects and the dual monitors works fine, it charges and audio output is ok but the USB ports stopped working.

The thing is, it is not a Dock issue, I have tested on 5 docks and all have the same result.

Lately the network stopped being detected but not all the time.

Last week I was finally able to reinstall windows and the issue still exists and the only way for me to work is to carry a USB-C hub to connect my keyboard and mouse.

Windows is updated, I also installed all drivers available on the MS site. no luck.

Of course, it is out of warranty now.

    I understand that you'd like to use the full features of the Surface dock 2 including the ports. I appreciate the effort in performing the troubleshooting methods.

    May I confirm the Surface Net driver version of your Surface? Go to device manager > expand the Network adapter then locate the Surface Net driver >right-click then choose properties > go to the driver's tab.

    Are you also running Windows 11 on your device?

    Try to manually update the Surface Dock 2 through this link: Download Surface Dock 2 Firmware and Drivers from Official Microsoft Download Center.

    Hi,

    I'm on windows 10.

    The NIC goes away every time it wakes up and if I unplug and plug back it works.

    The USB does not work.

    I downloaded ALL drivers and packages available.

    I appreciate the details. When you go to device manager, do you see any errors specially on the Surface Dock 2 drivers? May I also confirm your Windows 10 build? Go to search > then search for Winver.

    Hi,

    I do not see the dock on device manager but see the surface network adapter, no errors.

    Windows version is 21h2 19044.1586
