How to disable the Detach screen function in my Surface Book 2?

The detach key of my Surface Book 2 keeps notifying "Ready to Detach" and "Attached" without any prompt from me. This shakes the scree for momentarily but causes me immense distraction during work. I do not ever use the screen in the tablet mode and would like to permanently disable this function. What can I do?

    Hi Achyut Chetan,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We appreciate for sharing your concern to us.

I am aware that you are having issues with the detach function on your Surface Book device because it keeps alerting you that it is "ready to detach" attached without any prompts, and that you want to disable the detach screen function on your Surface Book device.

The device was designed with a detachable feature so that it could be used in both tablet and laptop modes. You can try to disable the icon from the taskbar via disabling SurfaceDTX.exe in Task Manager under start up category and see if problem persists.

You may also check the SurfaceDTX driver in Device Manager and see if you have the option to disable it.

Open Device Manager >> expand system category >> look for SurfaceDTX driver. See if you have the option to disable the driver.

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
