Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter with Surface Pro 3 Resolution Problem

Question

My Surface Pro 3 is fully updated with the latest firmware and updates and the wireless display also has the latest updates.

When I have my bluetooth on and I connect to the wireless display adapter, my TV's max resolution that I can set is 1366 x 768 but when I turn my bluetooth off first and then connect to the wireless display adapter I can set my TV to 1920 x 1080.

It's kind of annoying to have to turn bluetooth off first before I connect to my tv. Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

This is happening to me as well.  However, I only have the Arc Touch Mouse for Surface and the Surface Pen connected via bluetooth.  If Bluetooth is on, I get the 1366x768 resolution.  If Bluetooth is off, I get 1920x1080.  If I turn off bluetooth, connect at the 1920x1080, and then enable bluetooth, it changes resolution back to 1366x768.

Where can I find previous version.?

In Europé.

You should be able to do this from device manager, from properties/driver for the Intel Video Display Adapter.

OK, here's what I don't understand - WHY are you trying to change the

resolution. The Miracast protocol should negotiate all of this. And note with

Miracast, you can only have one display resolution for both monitors.

The way it should work is that when you connect to the MWDA, the TV should

display at 1980 x 1020 and the Surface Pro 3 should also change to 1980 x 1020.

When you disconnect, the SP3 will go back to its native resolution.

Are you trying to say that when you do this automatically that the Sony will NOT

connect at 1980 x 1020?

Steps to connect with Miracast: Charms, Devices, Project - and then select your

MWDA. Don't do anything else. What happens?

It's a Sony KDL-40EX700, I'm setting the resolution in the windows control panel...

The Bluetooth devices that I have paired and connected are the pen, the arc touch mouse surface edition and my xperia z3 compact phone.

After I turn off the Bluetooth and then connect to the display adapter I get the option to increase the resolution...

I can turn the Bluetooth back on right after I connect and everything seems to still work fine.

That's an interesting issue. Some questions:

1. brand and model of TV and where are you setting the resolution?
2. what bluetooth devices are connected to your Surface other than the Pen?
