No bootable device error not fixed trying to install fix, only goes to blue screen

We purchased a Microsoft Surface Go (1901) tablet for our business when we opened about 3-4 years ago as a requirement from our POS provider as a back up till. We've never had to use it until recently but when I went to use it I got the 'No bootable device' error.

After following the fix online I downloaded the fix to a jump drive, bought a dongle, and attempted to load the fix to the device.

I'm not sure if something went wrong because now when I try to boot the device I get the loading circle one and then the blue screen saying "your device ran into a problem that needs to restart. You can restart." Stop code DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG

I've tried to call Microsoft support to send the device in but apparently they don't have anyone working their phone lines anymore. I've tried talking to a chat box but it is requiring me to register the device. After attempting to register the device it says it is registered but then doesn't actually show up as registered so I can't get any support on it. I've tried everything I can think of other than this to find someone who can help me send it in to get it fixed so I can use this device for our store. Massive waste of money at this point.

If someone could please tell me how I can get ahold of someone to send this device in for service to get it fixed I would greatly appreciate it!

    Hi Ryan,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

It looks like your Surface Go 2 is having issues with booting the device and after trying to install the repair tool it still only shows a blue screen.

You mentioned that you tried online solutions, downloaded the repair tool onto a USB drive, bought an adapter, and tried to load the repair tool onto the device. Can you tell me if the method you tried was resetting your Surface to its factory settings using the Surface USB recovery drive? Creating and using a USB recovery drive for Surface - Microsoft Support

If your Surface Go 2 is a business device (owned by an organization), see Surface service options for Business and Education.

Sincerely hope that your question will be dealt with appropriately after contact the correct department. Thank you for your understanding!

    Your Sincerely
