How to turn on surface laptop 4 when docked to surface dock 2

I have the surface laptop 4 connected to the surface dock 2 with two external monitors. I keep the laptop closed while working. I cannot figure out how to power on the laptop when it is in a powered off state with the lid closed and connected to the dock. Is there a way to do this?

On other laptops that I've had in the past, I can power them on when connected to the dock.

    Hi Bryan!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

With your query, yes, you can power on your Surface Laptop 4 while it is docked to the Surface Dock 2 with the lid closed. To do this, you can simply press the power button on the Surface Dock 2. The power button is located on the top of the dock, near the front edge. When you press the power button, it will turn on your Surface Laptop 4 and any connected monitors.

Thanks again for choosing Microsoft. Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    RodelioP.

There is NO power button as you've described on the Surface Dock 2. So, again, how does one do this? I have the exact same setup. Thank you.
