Surface Laptop Go lost charge now wont go past windows logo when powering on

A co-worker has an issue with his surface go laptop.
He described that the dock he was using stopped powering the laptop, eventually it was drained of power and turned off.
After charging it with the provided charger, when pressing the power button it instantly shows the windows logo and after 2 -3 seconds it goes black again.

I've tried the volume up + power button combo but it doens't seem to work.
Anybody that has an idea how to fix this, he has important files on the laptop.

    Hi,

    I've tried charging it for a while but to no success.
    I have seen the article you linked before.

    The issue however is that i'm not stuck on the windows logo, it just shows up for 2 - 3 seconds then the whole screen goes black again.

    So i can't use a bootable usb.
