Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. The new Surface Laptop 3 can definitely receive charge via USB-C port for USB Type-C Power Delivery chargers that deliver 7.5W to 60W.

    Hi,

    Wondering if the cable from the battery/charger to the Surface laptop 3 has to be USB C to USB C? I can't seem the find information.

    Thanks Skorpian! I know it comes with a Surface connect as the main charger but since it can also be charged via USB-C I wondered if I can use an old 87W USB-C Macbook pro charger to charge it?
