Ordering replacement feet for Surface Laptop Studio in Europe

Hi there,

The rubber feet of my SLS are letting go, probably due to excessive heat, and I would like to replace them. I have been going through the 'Contact support' options in the Surface app over and over and over for the past hour, but I cannot create a ticket, I am unable to start a chat, and I cannot even create a ticket to send in my SLS (which I don't want, I just want the replacement feet). I am getting extremely annoyed! The reseller can only replace my SLS for a new unit, because of the feet letting go...... which is an utter waste of an otherwise perfectly good machine....

I do not live in the US or Canada, and I just want to order a set of replacement feet within the Netherlands, and not pay a reshipper to order it in the US to have it shipped to Europe... Please just help me replace these faulty rubber feet.

    Hi, L vdB

Welcome to the Microsoft Community. Based on your description, you want to replace the rubber feet on your Surface. The best thing we could do is to refer you to the support channel that is best to handle your concern which would be our live support. They would be able to give you further options and assistance on this matter. See steps below in reaching them:

    1. Go to Contact Us - Microsoft Support
    2. Choose how you would like to get support for your Surface device.
    3. Type in the problem you need help with.
    4. Look at any available solutions offered and select Contact Support.

I wish you all the best and hoping you'll get a resolution there.

    Hi Huon,

Sorry for the late reply. I've been trying to get in touch with Microsoft support, but running through all the steps just keeps getting me the same stuff (running through the hardware check, Windows update etc. trying to resolve my issue).

So, unfortunately still haven't been able to get in contact with Microsoft Support, so I'll just back up my machine and then send it in to be replaced. Maybe even better so I'll be able to last longer with the new device. And I think a new unit won't heat up as much as this bit older unit does.
