I've had my surface laptop studio for about a year now and I've noticed that the fans are clogged up with dust and making weird noises when spinning I was wondering how I can clean them without opening it up since I don't want to buy a new cosmetic plate and whether microsoft has a cleaning service I can use

    Hi R-HU,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. To clean the fans on your Surface Laptop Studio without opening it up, you can use compressed air to blow out the dust. Here's how you can do it:1. Turn off your Surface Laptop Studio and unplug it from the power source.2. Hold the laptop in a position where the fan vents are facing downwards to prevent the dust from blowing back into the laptop.3. Use a can of compressed air to blow short bursts of air into the fan vents to dislodge the dust.4. Repeat this process for all the fan vents on your laptop. As for Microsoft's cleaning service for Surface devices. You may consider contacting Microsoft Support to confirm. If you are not comfortable cleaning the fan yourself, they can also assist you with the cleaning process. Contact Us - Microsoft Support
