Microsoft wireless mouse 1000

Hello,

I have the following issue: I bought a kit including keyboard (Wireless keyboard 850) and wireless mouse 1000. I lost the transceptor or usb receiver. Here is my question: if I only buy the mouse (exactly the same), will my keyboard work?

Thanks in advance,

Cris

Chris, I am guessing they will not work. My reason for saying that the USB receiver is programmed at the time it is put together as a kit for sale. The result is that if you purchase another similar item separately it will not be programmed to recognize both the items. It will only be programmed to recognize the one you just purchased.

In the final analysis, you will have to purchase a new kit or switch to bluetooth

You are welcome and sorry to be the bearer of bad information. As I said above, I would migrate to Bluetooth. For me, in the final analysis it has proved to be a much better solution for me.

If I was able to help, I would appreciate you marking my initial reply as an answer Chris.
