I just received a new Surface Laptop 6 platinum and unboxing it. There is an 'offwhite' sticker at the top of the keyboard that runs along the top of the keyboard. is it ok to remove this? it seems difficult to remove. Should i leave this alone or is it meant to be removed?

Any insight appreciated

    Hi REBECCA,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

The sticker you're describing on your new Surface Laptop 6 is likely a protective film that's placed there to protect the device during shipping and handling. You can try taking a picture of the sticker and uploading it to me so I can better help you confirm it.

If the sticker is difficult to remove, try gently peeling it off from one corner. If you encounter any resistance, you might use a soft cloth to get a better grip, or apply gentle heat from a hairdryer on a low setting to soften the adhesive slightly (but be careful not to overheat the device).

    Your Sincerely
