About 3.5 hours to solve a simple Bluetooth headphone device problem on Windows 10.
I unpaired my Bose QuietControl 30 from my Surface last night and then could not get it working at all.
What did NOT work:
Updating drivers, turning on off Bluetooth, restarting, deleting Bluetooth items from C:, unselecting “low power mode” from Bluetooth, uninstalling and restarting, scanning for new hardware. Updating the bose heaphones from btu.bose.com, many “The best drivers
for your device are already installed”.
I suggest you do update your Bose device under btu.bose.com for firmware 2.7.6 via usb and then try this:
(Windows key) + r
Type “services.msc”
Look for Bluetooth Support Service,
Right click and go to Properties
Change Startup type: from Disabled to Automatic
Restart and try pairing like normal. (windows key + “Bluetooth” enter, pair add Bluetooth or other device and the first Bluetooth option.)
