How can I open a surface pro of someone who has passed away

A family member passed away. How can I access his surface pro? Thank you

    Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.

    My condolences for your loss. If you know the password to the Microsoft account that is signed it to the Surface, then you can use that to log in to the machine. If not, then you may need to reset the device back to its factory settings. For more details on how to reset your Surface, see Restore or reset Surface for Windows - Microsoft Support.
