Hello, I brought an surface laptop early this year. I realised that everytime I update my laptop, a new record of Microsoft Visual C++ appears. They all accumulated in my system and really take up a lot of spaces. May I know what are these? Can I delete or uninstall them? Thanks.

    Hi JiaqiXu1,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages are components required to run C++ applications that are developed using Visual Studio and linked to Visual C++ libraries. It is not advisable to remove or uninstall these packages. If you uninstall these packages, one or more of your programs installed on not device that rely on that specific version of Visual C++ Redistributable will stop working. So it would be better to just leave it alone.
