Hello GS-ASUS laptop,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
After reading your description of this issue, I would like to introduce you to the existing sensors on the Surface Pro 8:
- Accelerometer
- Gyroscope
- Magnetometer
- Ambient Color Sensor (brightness and color)
I believe this situation you describe here may have something to do with the Accelerometer or Gyroscope sensor that comes with the Surface Pro 8, because when you "move the Surface Pro 8," the sensor recognizes this behavior.
I have also found another thread for you, where you will find that the moderator has discussed this issue and retrograde with other users:
Gyroscope and accelerometer - Microsoft Community
The problem, however, is that the sensors don't seem to have a direct option to turn off, as they are all turned on by default. While you can easily turn off the automatic rotation of the screen in the Start menu - Settings - System - screen, this does not turn off the sensor.
Therefore, I recommend that you refer this issue to the Surface technical support team, who may be able to provide more advice on this issue. I can direct you to how to get in touch with them:
- Use your personal Microsoft account (not your organization account) to access the following links:
- Type Surface, press Enter, and click "Contact Support" at the bottom:
- Select Technical Support and select the device model you are currently using in Produce family, then click Confrim:
- You will see contact options for Chat support and phone support, please contact them during working hours to suggest contact:
I wish you all the best.
Best Regards,
Mitchell | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
