Problem playing games on the touch screen of Surface Go

I have a new Surface Go, and can't figure out how to play some games on it. For instance, I downloaded a game that's a match-3 (like Jewel Mania). The first screen is a tutorial that wants me to select 3 tiles by sliding my finger across - but it won't let me do that. When I slide my finger across, it does absolutely nothing. I've tried clicking and double-clicking first, using my pen, I just can't figure it out. What am I missing? Thanks.

    Hello TommeF,

Thank you for reaching out Surface Community. Is your touchscreen working without using any game app/s? If that is correct, please try the steps below:

Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter then follow the instructions > Restart the device once done and test the app/s

If issue persist, please run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit. It is a self-healing tool which looks for potential issues and fixes them, as well as ensures your device is completely up to date. Or manually check Windows Updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Check for updates.

****If issue is happening as well on your built in apps or not working when trying to open a specific app by double tapping the icon using finger, try the steps below:

    1.       Open Device Manager.

    2.       Go to Human Interface Devices.

    3.       Expand **Human Interface Devices,**and Right-click HID-Compliant Touch Screen.

    4.       Right-click on HID-Compliant Touch Screen and select Uninstall. If there is more than one driver, uninstall those as well.

    ·         Note: If prompted with a checkbox stating "Delete the driver software for this device", check it then hit Uninstall. This is to remove the driver completely. Do no restart the Surface yet if prompted. Do this for both drivers.

    5.       Go to Download drivers and firmware for Surface and download the .msi file.

    ·         If there's not an .msi file that corresponds to the build of Windows 10 you have installed, select the .msi file that's closest to your build number.

    ·         To find out which version and build of Windows you're using, select Start > Settings  > System  > About , then look under Windows Specificationsto find your operating system version and OS build number.

    6.       Restart the Surface Twice to apply the changes.

If this works, we highly encourage you to inform our Community by clicking on Yes or marking my post as an answer. This will help other members who may have the same issue as you. Otherwise, don't hesitate to update us so we can further assist you.

    Regards,
