Hi,

My surface slim pen 2 pen tip stopped working. The pen is recognized by the device and the curser is even seen however the pen tip is just not inking, the back end however does work. My computer is a surface studio, I have already changed the pen tip and uninstalled several drivers as seen on other threads however the pen still continues to fail to ink.

    Hello Eric!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Surface Slim Pen 2. Have you tried resetting the pen? To do this, press and hold the top button of the pen for about 7 seconds until the light on the pen flashes white. Then, try using the pen again to see if it inks properly.

If resetting the pen doesn't work, you can try updating the pen's firmware. To do this, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Surface Slim Pen 2 > Device properties > Firmware update.

If the issue persists, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with the pen. In this case, I recommend contacting Microsoft support for further assistance. Below are the steps on how to contact them:

    1. Go to Contact Us- Contact Us - Microsoft Support.
    2. Choose how you would like to get support for your Surface device.
    3. Type in the problem you need help with.
    4. Look at any available solutions offered and select Contact Support.

If the above steps did not work, you can also check on Barb's step by step instructions on how to contact support How to get Phone and Chat Support (for Surface Home/Consumer - Microsoft Community.

Thanks again for choosing Microsoft. Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    RodelioP.
