Hello

I received my surface pro 3 and things seemed fine at first apart from erratically disappearing WiFi and Bluetooth. However most of the times they reappeared once I restart the system. Problem started when I installed July and August updates. I tried everything from refreshing my device thrice to manually installing the drivers. Till date my surface pro 3 doesn't show WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity in network connections menu. I checked up in device manager and theres an yellow warning against both the devices. Trouble shoot is unable to fix the issues. The devices are getting automatically hidden in device manager . The error being shown in device properties is the hardware is not connected and windows is unable to load drivers for this device. I installed nov update too.... no use.

This is very frustrating.  apart from this I love my device. It replaces my all notebooks, ink pen, all textbooks, my media player, my laptop, my camera......... literally everything.......... this device is my new girlfriend literally....

But I need a fix to this....... pls help

if you have tried deleting the devices from device manager and rebooting and

letting them install again, reinstalling the drivers manually, it is time to try

a reset as opposed to a refresh. If that doesn't clear the issue, then you need

to exchange your unit/send in to Microsoft.

This is the 2nd time that I've had the Bluetooth and Wifi disappear on me.  A hardware power down doesn't fix it, but a software reset does.

Go to Windows / "Power Icon" / Restart

Both times when I did that, Bluetooth and WiFi came back to the Action Center

Ok..... I will try system reset. But sending the unit to MS isn't an option for me because I live in India where sp isn't launched and I bought  this device when I was in US. I cannot send the device even if MS is willing to accept it. That's my biggest problem.

If the reset doesn't work, there isn't anything else I can suggest if you are

unable to open a support case and send in to Microsoft.

    Hello muralisaripalli,

Thanks for contacting us regarding your issues with WiFi and Bluetooth. The Community is here to support you, and I'll do what I can to help.

I've read through your conversation with Barb Bowman, and I must agree with her advice to you. However, I would like to add that there is a way to send your device to us, even though you are not in a supported country.

As you already know, since you are not in a release or supported area, our standard options are not available to you.

Here are two things you can try:

    1. You can contact the Microsoft Store from which you purchased your Surface device and request a return, but please know, the return will be entirely under that store’s discretion.
    2. Another option would be to send your Surface to someone located in a supported country (USA, Canada or Mexico), and have them facilitate an exchange for you.

I sincerely hope that one of those options will work for you. Please let us know how this all works out for you.

    Best Wishes,

    Zack_T
