Surface Dock 2 DP-Alt Mode over USB-C

I was thinking of purchasing the Surface dock 2, but before I do, I was wondering if anyone knew if the Dock allows DP-Alt Mode over USB-C. 

I tried looking everywhere on the internet, but it seems that I can't find an answer.

Or, to be specific, can you use a mouse and keyboard over the USB-C ports?

    Yes, you may use the two front facing USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 of the dock for your mouse and keyboard. See this page for more details: Identify Surface Dock and features and What's new in Surface Dock.
