Surface pro is not what it says on the box.

To clear things up, I just bought a used Surface Pro 4 online and it was advertised as 128ssd, i5 and 8gb ram. When the product arrived, I cleaned it and found a label on the back and it says 256GB.... And the serial number. I checked the storage and its 118GB (Which is 128GB version). But again, it says outside on the case that its 256GB. So I checked the SSD's hardware and I got "nvme samsung mzflv256".. After doing some research it appears that's a 256GB SSD. The 128GB version is simply called "nvme samsung mzflv128". I checked the surface pro with Microsoft using the serial number and they have confirmed it is a 256GB model.

Next thought I had, maybe the seller opened the device and changed the SSD. But the actual device looks brand new and I couldn't spot any evidence that the screen has been replaced or removed. And also because the actual SSD's name is "nvme samsung mzflv256"..

Is there any reason or any possibilities that my Surface pro 4's SSD is not 128GB and is indeed 256BG?

VERY weird. I would file this as some kind of strange factory mistake. Hope this helps, please DO mark as Answer if it was of assistance.

Forgot to mention that you need to expand components, storage, drives to get the details on the drive.

You mention a label? There isn't a "stick on" label on these. If you lift the kick stand, is should show the serial number and the capacity - it is engraved/etched. If you run the Surface App (Windows Store App) does the serial number match what is engraved under the kickstand?

Very strange to say the least. Msinfo shows a 128GB drive, which is what the seller advertised, apparently.
