Hi Tyler Toczek,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. We did not intend for this to happen, and we are sorry that you had to experience this. Based on the information you provided, it appears that you are having trouble pairing your Surface Pen with your Surface Pro7+ after removing it.
Let’s work together in finding the best solution to this issue. To get started I will ask few questions to further isolate the concern.
- Other Bluetooth device connected on your Surface are working find with no issue, it will connect right away?
- May I know the Surface pen that you are using its a Surface pen with no clip or the purple tip?
- Did you try to change the battery and still not working?
- Did you try to connect the pen to another device and still won't connect?
Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
- Make sure that your Surface device is up to date with the latest Windows updates.
- Restart your Surface device and try pairing the pen again.
- If still persist, go to device manager>click on Bluetooth>then right click on Intel (R) Wireless Bluetooth> click on uninstall then do not put any check mark on the small box that say complete delete. Just click okay below then restart the Surface to apply changes.
- Once the device is back on. pair again the pen to the device.
- Go to settings>then click on Bluetooth and device>then click add device then select Bluetooth> then press and hold the pen button for 10 seconds until it shows in the settings then click on pair.
- if still persist, try resetting the pen by holding down the top button for 7 seconds until the LED light flashes white, then release the button and wait for the LED light to turn off.
- Try pairing the pen with another Surface device to see if the issue is with the pen or the Surface device.
- If none of the above step's work, try replacing the battery in the pen. Then start pair again the pen.
Please let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Christopher.
