I Lost my Surface personal Data suddenly lost all files.

Hello everyone, I was facing problem last night I was working on my Surface laptop 3 I downloaded the iCloud Drive App from Microsoft Store after using the app and configured in user profile in C Drive. I lost all of my data and file which is important to me but some of app are there, I need help those data are very important to me. How can I retrieve my old data?

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME I WAS IN SO MUCH STRESSED.

    Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your personal data on your Surface Laptop 3. We understand how frustrating and stressful this situation is especially that the files lost were very important.

    Before we proceed, I would like to inform you that we do not have a special tool here that we can use for data recovery, but we'll still try to assist you in sorting this out to the best of our capabilities.

    Firstly, I would recommend checking your Recycle Bin to see if your files are still there. If they are, you can simply restore them to their original location. To do this, right-click on the file or folder you want to restore and select "Restore".

    If the files are not found on the Recycle Bin of the Surface, please try to access your iCloud account through web and see if those files that we are looking for are still stored on the cloud.

    No there is no files in my Delete folder also there is no file in my iCloud folder as well.

    Hi Faiz Qureshi,

    thank you for the response and sorry to hear that we are still unable to locate those lost files. For this case, considering that we do not have any special tool here that we can use for data retrieval, I recommend reaching out also to Apple support since we are using here a third-party cloud services which is iCloud from Apple. Please try to reach out to them instead and see if they have other options to recover the files lost.
