Using Surface Pro 3 to shoot video- need to be able to zoom in and out

I'd like to use my surface pro as a video camera for football and other sports that I coach.   I figured out how to video, but not how to zoomin and out during the videoing.

Can this be done?  Is there an app I need for this functionality?

    Hi BiggJake,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm glad to help. I understand that you'd like to use zoom option to capture photos and videos on your Surface Pro 3 using the built in app. Sorry, the camera app doesn't have options for zooming. Sorry for the inconvenience. You can check with third party apps in the Store. I see that Barb Bowman  has suggested one.

     Let us know.

    Cheers,

Take a look at YouCam Mobile in the Windows Store ($$$).

    Thanks.

    I tried it out.

It zooms and such, but the zoomed image isn't very clear.  Is that the camera or the software limitation?

As far as I know, it's the camera. It's fixed focus. Microsoft should have used the same camera it used on previous models.
