    Hi Monaali_204,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. I understand that you're experiencing issues with your Surface Book 2's battery life.

Just to confirm though, when you left the device for a week, was it shut down or was just placed on sleep mode?

Based on the information you've provided, it's possible that your Surface Book 2 is experiencing battery drain while in sleep mode. This can happen if there are certain apps or processes running in the background that are consuming power even when the device is not in use.

To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend that you try the following steps:

    1. Check for updates: Make sure that your Surface Book 2 is up to date with the latest software updates. To do this, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click on "Check for updates."
    2. Adjust power settings: You can adjust the power settings on your Surface Book 2 to help conserve battery life. To do this, go to Settings > System > Power & sleep and adjust the settings to your preference.
    3. Disable background apps: Some apps may continue to run in the background even when your Surface Book 2 is in sleep mode. To disable these apps, go to Settings > Privacy > Background apps and turn off any apps that you don't need running in the background.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with your Surface Book 2's battery. Please try to generate a battery report of the device and share it to use here. To do this, follow these steps:

    Open Command Prompt as Admin

Click Yes on the UAC prompt

Type this command below and hit Enter:

    powercfg /batteryreport

Open File Explorer and access the html file location given in the Command Prompt

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,
    Marrion
