Hello,

I ordered a surface pro 7, from USA to Nepal this august, as i was a big fan of surface pro.

I didnt have any problem but recently, i noticed a horizontal line at the bottom. I searched the web about this issue.

Found out that this will continue to increase and cover half of the screen. It is also present in uefi mode aswell concluding it is a hardware issue.

Please help me out. I am low on budget and

I have no Microsoft stores around Nepal to get it fixed or replaced.

I have my warranty till next year.

Thank you,

Rahul

    Hi RahulShrestha1,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you are having on your Surface Pro 7 display. Yes, issue occurring on the UEFI screen confirms that it is a hardware issue but please try to run these steps on your Surface Pro 7 first and observe if still issue persist:

1: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check Windows Update

    2: Update drivers and firmware

Check what is the current OS Build of your Windows version by going to Settings > System > About.

Go to Download driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Pro 7 then click Download on the next page.

Choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next.

After downloading, run and install the .msi then Restart.

3: Run System File Checker Tool in Windows 10

If still the issue persist, please contact support through our Global Customer Service phone numbers so you could check for replacement options available for your Surface Pro 7.
