Hello. I really need help and I don't know how to solve this problem. My computer is Microsoft Surface Pro X. I have been using my windows hello face since I got this computer, but I don't know since when I have no access on this. It is said that they couldn't find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face. How could I fix this problem?

    Hi Marc_Kim0423,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.

How about using the Camera app of the device? Does the front and camera works or you also get the same error message?

Kindly run these steps first on your Surface Pro X and see if the issue persist:

1: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check Windows Update

2: RunSystem File Checker Tool in Windows 10

If still the issue persist, please boot the device to its UEFI screen. See this page for the steps on How to get to the UEFI settings. Once you are on the UEFI screen, go to Devices. Check if the camera options (IR, Frontand Rear) are enabled. If they are already toggled on, please toggle them off for about 10 seconds then back to enabled. Select Exit > Restart now. After the restart, kindly check if the issue persist.

    Hope this helps.

    Registry editor- Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\LocationAndSensors

    all files set to 0

    2.

    Reg editor- Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\LocationAndSensors

    all files set to 0

    3.

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Biometrics - there is a file ENEBLE- delete it.

If the file is missing skip this step.

    4.

Go to this site- Option number 2 download the file from it and run it

Reset your PC and enjoy it until something else breaks.
