Hi ZenergyQ,
Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. I appreciate the time and effort you spent in trying to resolved the issue and I'm sorry if performing those steps did not help you resolve it. When camera isn't working in Windows 11, it might be missing drivers after a recent update. It's also possible that your antivirus program is blocking the camera, your privacy settings don't allow camera access for some applications.
Do you have third party anti virus app installed on your device? If Yes, try uninstalling the app and check if camera works. For additional troubleshooting , you can try these steps below:Try to reset the Camera app on Settings.
- Click Start -> Settings -> Apps -> Apps & features.
- Scroll down to find Camera app in the app list. Click it.
- Next click Advanced options link under Camera app.
- In the new Camera settings window, you can click Reset button under Reset section to revert the Camera app to its default settings.
If resetting the app doesn't fix the issue, try to uninstall the app using PowerShell Utility.
- Press Windows + X and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) to open PowerShell.
- Copy and paste this command: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsCamera* | remove-appxpackage
and hit Enter.
After removing the Camera app, you can open Microsoft Store app to search for Windows Camera app to download and install it again on your Surface device.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Lavenia
