Surface Pro 6 Marvell Avastar driver issues

Hello,

I just purchased a Surface Pro 6. Out of the box, the wifi did not work, but it was loaded with Win10 home, and I was going to change that anyway. I installed Windows 10 pro, and wifi worked. I updated the PC, and now wifi and Bluetooth do not work. I have tried various Surface Firmware and driver update tools/downloads to no avail. Dear Microsoft, where is the fix? I know this is a software issue, is there a different driver available?

I know I'm not alone with this issue. I would love to fix the onboard adapter and not rely on a USB adapter. My surface only has 1 to start with and I'd like it back please!

If any smartypants out there has a fix please let me know.

Thanks

    Hi AllanwLewis,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

When you say Bluetooth and Wi-Fi do not work, does it give you an error message in attempting to use these options or the options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is not present at all in Windows Settings?

Please try to boot your Surface Pro 6 first on the UEFI screen. You may check this page for the steps on How to get to the UEFI settings. Once you are on the UEFI screen, please choose Devices. Under Devices, look for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth option and check if they are enabled (Enable if not). If they are enabled already, disable them first then back to enable after  a few seconds. After doing those steps, just choose Exit > Restart now. After the restart, test the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth of the device again.

If this answer your question, we highly encourage you to inform our Community by clicking on Yes or marking my post as an answer. This will help other members who may have the same issue as you. Otherwise, don't hesitate to update us so we can further assist you.

    Kind Regards,

    Marrion Y.

I'm running Win10 Pro on a SP6 and my Wifi works great. If you check the Marvell adapter in the device manager do your driver properties match up with mine?

Hey, same guy as above. New account. Dumb story.

So, my settings look just like those above. Same driver and everything. Tried the UEFI thing, that didn't do it. It worked on first install, so I'm extremely reticent to call it hardware.

    No rollback available.

    You're killing me smalls....

Return it for full refund and repurchase. A new Surface should not have issues
like this and you should not have to jump through hoops to get it working.

Yes, I 100% agree with Barb. If it's still under warranty get it replaced right away.
