The Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter was great. They are pretty much out of stock everywhere, is there any info on when these will become available for purchase again?

    Hello Tyhbmi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I appreciate you raising this inquiry to us and to answer your question:

At this time, Microsoft has not announced any plans to release a new version of the Wireless Display Adapter. As for availability, I recommend checking with your local retailers or online stores periodically for updates on when they will have the product back in stock. You can also check the Microsoft Store website for availability.

Thank you for continuously loving Microsoft, we deeply appreciate that. I hope it helps!

    Best regards,

    Rolando S.

Please, please, please urge whoever it is at Microsoft to make these things available again!!

Our company, like many others are using this device as a standard for connecting to TV's and Projectors and we love the ability to set a custom wallpaper and name the device\room etc?

    These "were" fantastic devices!
We used the V2's for years with hardly any issues. A great price-point with regular firmware updates meant that they just worked so well for a small/medium sized business.
Frustratingly, the newer 4K version was released. These seemed to get less frequent firmware updates and painfully drop the connection (a lot) during meetings or presentations.
We still have our old V2's in use, which work perfectly.

It's a huge shame Microsoft are no longer continuing to supply/update these devices. They are very cost effective and work so well. We've tested a few alternatives in recent months which seem to be very unreliable unless we are paying 10x the price of the WDA.
Microsoft really should pick this device back up.

    • The cynic in me thinks that MS likely have a new (more expensive) product coming down the pipeline!

Totally agree - we use them in our school and now do not have a decent replacement. The new projectors EB992F come with a built-in miracast but are no good. There seems to be no replacement. tried Ezcast but not great either. Anyone know of a really good dongle for projectors?
