hissing/disruption sound from the speaker

hello..

am having hissing/disruption sound from the device speaker when ever the sound is muted/set to 0, note that the device and drivers are up to date and my device a new unit just got after a replacement less than a month ago.

Does the hissing sound also occurs when you are using an external speaker or headset?

Kindly try the steps provided on these pages then see if the issue persist:

Troubleshoot Surface sound and audio accessories (microsoft.com)

Try these also:

1: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check Windows Update

2: Update drivers and firmware

                               Check what is the current OS Build of your Windows version by going to Settings > System > About.

                               Go to Download driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Pro 7 then click Download on the next page.

                               Choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next.

                               After downloading, run and install the .msi then Restart.
