Surface Book 2 15" Screen Burn-In

Hi,

I have a MS SB2 15" for about 2 years and 2/3 months now. I have got it replaced for more than five times, with 80% of the time due to the burn-in problem !! This problem is becoming worse and I don't know how to fix it. I tried after receiving a replacement not to use the pen and to dim the luminosity in order to increase the lifetime of the display/pixels. Nevertheless, the problem appeared again. I did not even have the possibility to work like normal people on their own laptops (most of the time worried not having this problem again, but it seems that the problem is in every SB I got replaced....). Now, I am out of warranty and this problem is becoming even worse. For a very expensive device, I expect better quality, and repairing this on my costs is not possible since I am a student. I will start doing my thesis very soon and I don't really know how to do without a useful laptop... Please help me!!! I am not able to repair this on my costs and buying a new laptop is not an option.

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you re having on your Surface Book 2. Please try to run these steps first on your Surface then observe if still the issue persist:

1: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check Windows Update

Go to Download driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Book 2 then click Download on the next page.

Choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next.
