Based on the information you have provided, looks like when you copy a link from Word into Classic Outlook, the format is changed.
This often happens because Outlook tries to hyperlink the entire message, including the text before the URL
Here are a few settings you can set up in your Outlook:
- Go to Outlook Options > Mail > Editor Options > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat tab and uncheck “Internet and network paths with hyperlinks.”
- Choose HTML for composing emails
- Go to Outlook Options > Mail > Editor Options > Advanced > Pasting from other programs > Choose "Keep source formating"
