Locked Out of Microsoft Developer Account – Lost Access to Two-Step Verification

urgent assistance in recovering access to my Microsoft Developer account. Unfortunately, I have lost access to the two-step verification method (Authenticator app and phone number), and I am now completely locked out of my account.

I have already attempted the standard recovery steps via the “Can’t access your account?” process, but it requires access to the Authenticator app, which I no longer have.

I would be grateful if you could escalate this case to the Data Protection Team or appropriate recovery team for further handling. I am able to provide any additional information or proof of ownership if needed.

I would deeply appreciate your urgent support in regaining access.

    Thanks for sharing the details over email.

    The issue pertains to a tenant lockout, where no other global admin in the tenant has the necessary permissions to re-register MFA.

    To resolve this, we have engaged our Data Protection team through a support ticket. They will reach out to you via email or phone to help restore access to the tenant and assist in resolving the issue.
