It looks like Outlook might have been set up to use Microsoft Exchange settings with your Gmail account, which could be causing the login issue you're seeing.
Based on my research, you can try the following steps to resolve this issue:
- Remove your current Outlook profile
Exit Outlook completely.
- Open the Control Panel and click on Mail.
Click Show Profiles.
Select your existing profile and click Remove.
- Create a new profile and re-add your Gmail account
In the same Mail window, click Add.
Enter a name for the new profile and click OK.
Follow the Add Account wizard to sign in with your Gmail account.
Once setup is complete, click Finish.
Back in the Mail window, under Always use this profile, select the new profile you just created.
- Click OK to save your changes.
