Can I clean up synctoy files in AppData?

I've been using SyncToy for years, and very good it is too. However, I've noticed that I have 2GB of SyncToy files in AppData\Local. Don't want to delete all, since it will presumably upset my current SyncToy settings. Is there any easy way of "cleaning up" or identifying files which are no longer valid?

    You can safely delete:

Old .DAT files-older than 30-90 days.

    Log files

    Temporary files

The safest approach is to delete only files older than 30-60 days while preserving your SyncToyDirPairs.bin file, which contains your actual sync configurations.

    Hi there,

I'm Cherrelyn, and I’m happy to help.

    Please try these suggestion:

-Open the folder and sort by Date Modified.

-You can delete older log or temp files like .log or .dat that haven’t been touched in months.

-Avoid deleting .xml or files tied to your active folder pairs, as they store settings.

To be safe, make a backup copy of the folder before cleaning, just in case.

Let me know about my suggestion, I'm here to guide you for further assistance.

    Warm regards,

    Cherrelyn
