Hello All-

Your input is appreciated while I continue trying to resolve this issue.

I've been attempting to reinstall my Sound drivers following an driver updater program deleting them. Upon installing a Realtek I2S a message stating "no driver accompanied this driver package" It makes no sense. A little research revealed an Intel driver may be necessary.

However, upon trying to download the Intel® Graphics Windows* DCH, the following message appeared below. Trouble shooting programs indicates no problems and are up to date.

Any advice is appreciated to regain the sound on my ASUS Transformer Book T100TAM

    Hi,

Looks to be the same driver. I'm in the UK so when I search I get the UK site for Asus.

Do you have all their drivers especially the Chipset driver?

Do you know if there is a way the Audio hardware could have been turned off in the bios. I wouldn't think it has but it's just a thought.

There is the option to repair/carry out an in-place upgrade of Windows 10, if you wish.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html

essentially download the latest ISO image file. (if you do not have it already) Mount the ISO in File Explorer, select the new drive letter then run setup. It will take you through the repair and should allow all files, apps and programs to be retained.

    Hi Neil D,

Thank you for responding to my inquiry.

Yes, I'm using Realtek Audio Driver

    Version V6.4.10147.4299

    23.11 MB

    2015/08/13 this link: https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/t100tam/helpdesk_download/

Since my initial post, I un/reinstalled the Sound, video and game controllers on Device Manager using the legacy tool. Reset the BIOS to default.

However, the messages received at any attempt to install or move forward are still the following:

    "No audio devices installed"

"Audio device not connected to PC"

And in Settings: "No output devices found" with same message for input

The 3rd party driver updater really did a number on this book. I am lost.

    Hi -

At this juncture, your original recommendation is the best option:"There is the option to repair/carry out an in-place upgrade of Windows 10, if you wish.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html"

However, I'm working on clearing out the necessary space for the reinstall. I'm at 4.54GB and the recommended is 8.75GB+. I have a ways to go.

I'll let you know how I fair.

    MR
