Microsoft 365 MFA Issue – Authenticator App Shows Sign-In Error After Password Reset
Hello,
We are managing a Microsoft 365 account for [Mod Removed]. After successfully resetting the password for our admin account ([Mod Removed - PII] ), we are now stuck at the second step: it asks us to open the Authenticator app, but the app shows a sign-in error.
We are unable to bypass this step and access the account. We still have access to other user accounts within the same domain and organisation.
How can we regain access to this admin account when MFA is enabled but the Authenticator device is constantly showing a sign-in error.
This is urgent, as we use Microsoft 365 to operate school communications.
