Dear Vaughan Jones,
Good day! Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A.
It looks like you downloaded a Bing-related software that is preventing you from using Chrome properly. Every time you open Chrome, you see the Bing page. If I understand your question wrongly, please correct me.
I want to clarify with you, what is the Bing Screenpage you mentioned? I have no idea. But your problem looks like the Chrome homepage has been tampered with. You can try resetting Chrome settings. Check the steps below:
- Right-click the Chrome icon on your desktop → Select "Properties. Check the path in the "Target" column. A normal path should be similar to:
"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"
If you see any other URL after it, delete it, such as www.bing.com or similar.
- Open Chrome and check its extensions to see if there are any Bing-related extensions or any strange extensions you haven't seen before. You can also try typing "chrome://extensions" in the address bar.
- Reset Chrome settings.
Go to Chrome's settings and find "Restore settings to original defaults" or similar options to restore Chrome's settings to default. Or try typing "chrome://settings/reset" directly in the address bar.
If there is any misunderstanding, please let me know. In addition, because the current community mainly deals with Microsoft products, regarding your question about how to set up favorites in Chrome, I suggest you post your question in Google's forum. You can get better support there.
I hope this information helps. If you have any updates, feel free to let me know—I’ll be here to help.
Best regards,
