Issues connecting on my account on Windows Market or website even mobile

Hi, every time I log into my Outlook account, I always have a problem — and it's only with your service. I’m constantly asked to use a VPN, even though I don’t do anything illegal. I can never manage to connect to Microsoft services, whether it's on Windows 11, the Microsoft Store, or the website.

It feels like you discriminate against Brazilian IP addresses. When I lived in France, I never needed to use a VPN. It's really frustrating that a company as big as Microsoft has this kind of issue — and only you.

I'm forced to use your products, but sometimes I honestly feel like deleting my account. The only reason I don’t is because my Minecraft account is linked to it. Please try to make things easier — it’s becoming really painful.

I hope you can understand.

P.S. I don’t trust VPNs with my credentials.

    Hello O P,

    Based on discussions and technical sources, here are some possible reasons:

    Possible Causes

    • Strict security policies for certain regions by Microsoft services, especially when the system detects “unusual sign-in behavior”;
    • Suspicious activity flags might be triggered by Brazilian IP addresses, even if nothing illegal is happening;
    • VPNs causing sign-in issues or account locks, which has been observed by other Outlook users;
    • Some users reported email delivery problems caused by routing through Brazilian server nodes.

    Suggested Fixes

    1. Add a trusted device: Log into your Microsoft Account Security page and mark your current device as trusted.
    2. Enable two-factor authentication: Use Microsoft Authenticator or SMS to boost account credibility.
    3. Update your account security info: Add a phone number and backup email to reduce the chance of false flags.
    4. Avoid unstable networks or frequent IP changes: Try to stick to a reliable home connection.
