Hi @Dennis Adams
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand how this can be frustrating when you’re trying to set everything up smoothly on a device you've just bought.
Since the laptop was purchased used, there's a chance the previous owner didn’t fully unlink it from their Microsoft account. This could explain why it’s not showing up under your account, even though your other devices are listed.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:
1.Check device enrollment status
Visit https://aka.ms/mydevicehealth to see if the device is enrolled under your account. If it’s not listed, it hasn’t been registered yet.
2.Register the device to your account
Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices, sign in, and select Register device. You’ll need the device’s serial number, not the product ID.
3.Rename your device
Change the default name of your device so you can quickly identify it in your Microsoft account.
Windows > Settings > System > About > Rename this PC > Enter a new name > Next > you may be asked to sign in > Select Restart now or restart later.
You can read more at Manage devices used with your Microsoft account - Microsoft Support
4. Lastly, if the laptop is still tied to the previous owner’s account, that can block registration under yours. A clean install of Windows usually clears out old links and gives you a fresh start.
I hope this helps.
