Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community Forum. I can understand the concern and you have the right to express them. Here are the things that can cause that. And the question is do you really still need to fix it, or you want to switch back to something stable?
Forced Updates: Yes, this is one of the most hated features. Updates often reset drivers or revert settings.
Telemetry & Bloatware: Windows 11 prioritizes cloud integration, which can cause more problems if you're using it mainly for local/offline tasks.
UI Changes for Touchscreens: These “improvements” are great on tablets, terrible on non-touch laptops/desktops.
Copilot, Ads, Microsoft Accounts: They push Microsoft’s ecosystem hard. Many users feel trapped in a system trying to sell them more services.
Option 1: Fix Windows 11 with Minimal Effort
Just do these:
Resize icons: Right-click desktop → View → Medium Icons
Fix power button: Change settings in Power Options
Block updates: Set your Wi-Fi to "Metered"
Use O&O ShutUp10++ to disable annoying features (like Copilot, tracking, etc.)
This alone can solve most of your frustrations.
Option 2: Switch to Something Simpler
Reinstall Windows 10 — stable, familiar, supported until 2025
Or try Linux (Zorin OS or Mint) — fast, no forced updates
You don’t need to fix Windows 11 before switching.
Hope this helps,
