Hi,

So I am currently managing the marketing for my company and I found a Bing ad for our company but it isn't an advert that exist in the current Bing account used by the company for Bing Ads.

After much investigation I believe that there is an old Bing account set up by someone but no one knows who it could be, it may be someone who left the company or a 3rd party agency. This looks like it happened before my time.

I have submitted a trademark report with Microsoft, but is there anything else I can do to work out who owns the account? If I can at least find an email registered to the account I can work a way of getting access.

Many thanks

    Hi Shelly,

The problem we have is that the ad that appeared in Bing is not from our account. So, we have no account information. At most we would be able to provide a range of bank/ credit cards used by the company and see if any of them are being used for this rogue accounts.

    Many thanks,

    Hi RhysGriffiths_8898,

Only a list of possible credit cards would not be enough information to verify the account, you will need information such as a credit card, e-mail and last four charges on the account.

I would look though your billing history to see possible unknown chargers, to find the correct credit card being used.

I hope you find this information helpful!

    Sincerely,

    Hi RhysGriffiths_8898,

That is a great question, and I understand your frustration on this matter.

To answer your question on how to get access to your account, you will need the e-mail address.

I would be more than happy to work with you on gaining access to your account. I would strongly suggest you located the billing information since this is an active account which will assist us in verifying the account. Please note that if this is not your account, we will be unable to assist you in gaining access.

Please check your private messages so I may gather account-specific information to verify your account.

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Advertising!

    Sincerely,
