Hello,

I am facing problem with bing-ads testing using sandbox. As, whenever I create a new campaign in bing-ads using sandbox the campaign is created but the ads wont run as its shows the error that "payment method need to be mentioned". But this should not be asked as sandbox testing provides the free code testing environment.

please provide solution regarding the problem as soon as possible.

Thank you!

with regards,

Vishal Agrawal

    Hi Vishal,

Thank you for contacting Bing Ads Support .  The sandbox and production environments use separate credentials. To get access to sandbox, go to the sandbox’s Bing Ads web application and click Sign up to get a sandbox account. You will use the same username and password to call the API.

When you sign up for an account, append _sbx to the username that you choose, for example contosoapi_sbx. In addition, do not specify a payment instrument.

All Bing Ads customers may use the following multi-user developer token in sandbox.

Authentication with a Microsoft Account is not supported in sandbox. You can test your sandbox application with the UserName and Password legacy header elements, and then with the AuthenticationToken element verify authentication of a Microsoft account via OAuth in production.

For more information, see Managing User Authentication with OAuth.

Sandboxsetting would auto generate a code token for you to use.

The sandbox environment is a test environment where advertisers manage their campaigns, practice with data and test their code in a realistic environment without making actual changes in the Production environment.

    • Customers will sign up for a Sandbox Bing Ads account in order to get a specific sandbox API user name.

    • Customers should create a unique username for Bing Ads API sandbox (e.g. sandbox_username). Existing Bing Ads usernames or Microsoft Accounts will not be accepted.

    • All Bing Ads customers may use the following multi-user developer token in sandbox: BBD37VB98.

    • For instructions on requesting a sandbox token and using the sandbox environment, follow directions on this webpage:  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/bing-ads-

    Thanks
