Dear mosheg,
Good day! Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A.
I understand that you are having issues with the photo and media player apps. I understand and I will do my best to help you.
Here are some steps you can try to see if this helps:
- Check system file integrity and run DISM
Search for CMD, find Command Prompt, and choose Run as Administrator.
Enter the following commands one by one, and be sure to execute the next command after the previous one is completed
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
- Go to "Settings", "Apps", "Installed Apps", find Photo and Media Player. Click "..." on the right and select "Advanced Options". Select "Reset" on the interface that opens. See if this fixes the problem. If not, uninstall this app and reinstall it from Apps.
- Perform an in-place upgrade of your system, which repairs your system files and usually does not cause any data loss:
Disclaimer: Let’s try performing an in-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system without removing files or applications. That being said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you should back it up before making large system changes. If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once you are done backing up, you can follow the steps in the following guides:
I hope this information helps. If you have any updates, feel free to let me know—I’ll be here to help.
