Trying to install my digital copy of MS OFFICE but says the Product Code has already been redeemed?

I purchased MS OFFICE from Best Buy a few months ago. I only have 2 Microsoft accounts so when i login and try to activate my product code, the error tells me it has already been redeemed. There are NO purchases seen in either of these account BUT I do have the product code, the charge slip and the email with the code and the link to the office.com/setup.

I would love to be able to call/email someone so I can give them the product code so they can tell me what account I installed it with but I have read this is not possible. I believe I only have 2 Microsoft accounts.

PLEASE help! Thanks so much.

James

Hi James, once you redeem your Office from office.com/setup you should not need, and definitely use it to install Office. The Product Key is integrated with the Microsoft Account used to redeem Office. Thereafter, the Microsoft Account replaces the Product Key. So, unless this is the first time you are installing your Office (after two months!) you use the Microsoft Account used with the Product Key to redeem your Office here: https://account.microsoft.com/services to install your Office. You should see an install link for your Office. Please come back for any further clarification or assistance.

What is the exact product name of the Office license you purchased? Office Home 2024? Or something else?

Since https://setup.office.com reports that the key has been used, you should ask for a replacement key from the seller, or maybe you need a replacement product (depending on the specific product you were offered).

You mentioned that you purchased from Best Buy. Talk to them. They may be able to figure out what went wrong with the key.
