Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 initially specs was stated to suggest styluses/pens (active). Now I find after buying one that the community has stated that they don't!! Surface laptops always did, and the latest device never stated otherwise. This laptop's specs sheet always seemed to suggest so. In the bluetooth settings it even suggests an option of pen pairing but my main point is from the specs sheet it was always suggested to support one as micrsoft surface laptops (not the go versions of course) always did (such an expensive device for a person like me when i had other slim laptop models that supported pens and styluses). This was the main reason I went for this laptop!! It was going all cool until i found this issue from the microsoft community. Utterly bizarre and disappointing.

    Hello Fahad Mushtaq,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

I'm not sure where you saw the description that the Surface Laptop 7 supports styluses. I can clearly tell you that the Surface Laptop 7 does not support the use of styluses because there is no sensor on its screen that can recognize styluses at all.

The latest stylus at present is the Slim pen 2. You can notice in the following support link that Surface Laptop 7 is not in its support list:

Identify your Surface Pen and features - Microsoft Support

And it is clearly stated in this support link:

What to try if your Surface Pen doesn't ink - Microsoft Support

图形用户界面, 文本, 应用程序, 电子邮件 AI 生成的内容可能不正确。

You can notice that the latest SurfaceLaptop 13-inch is not supported either.

So, if you have just purchased this device not long ago, my direct suggestion is to negotiate a refund with the seller. If someone told you before that this model of device supports styluses, then he has obviously deceived you.

    Best Regards,
